Day 1: Kochi to Alleppey Houseboat (80 kms, 2 hrs approx)
Arrive at the Airport / Railway Station. Meet our representative and drive to Alleppey Houseboat, Trips through the backwaters cross shallow, palm-fringed lakes, and travel along narrow, shady canals where coir (coconut fibre), copra (dried coconut meat) and cashews are loaded onto boats. Along the way are small villages with mosques, churches, temples and schools you can view villagers going for their daily activities, traditional Fishing Operations and Lush Green Rice Fields from your boat. Overnight stay in the houseboat.
Day 2: Alleppey Houseboat to Thekkady (140 kms, 4 hrs approx)
After a refreshing breakfast, check out from the houseboat and drive to Thekkady. Drive through panoramic western ghat hills covered with spice plantations and occasional view of waterfalls and streams. Visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Periyar Lake, Murikkady, that provides a panoramic view of cardamom, coffee and pepper plantations. Visit Thekkady’s spice market, where you can select and bring home a piece of Kerala’s essence by acquiring some of the finest spices as cherished mementos. Later visit Kadathanadan Kalari Centre. You can watch Kathakali show and the captivating Kalaripayattu show, an ancient Indian martial art form, adding an extra layer of cultural richness to your memorable journey (evening show at your own expense). Explore the rest of the day along with nature on your own. Overnight stay at the hotel / resort.
Day 3: Thekkady to Munnar (88 km, 2 hrs 50 mins approx)
After a refreshing breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Munnar, the place where the unfolded green carpet is waiting for you. Munnar is breathtakingly beautiful, a haven of peace and tranquillity – the idyllic tourist destination in God’s own country, situated on the Western Ghats at the height of 1600 meters (5200 feet) above sea level. It is famous for tea plantations. On the way enjoy sights of tea plantations and spice plantation. Overnight stay at the hotel / resort.
Day 4: Sightseeing within Munnar
After breakfast proceed for a sightseeing trip of Munnar. Flower show, Photo point, Honey Bee Tree, Mattupetty Dam, which offers many fascinating sights to relish. At Mattupetty Boating and Speed Boating facility are available( at your expense ). The Shola forests around Mattupetty are ideal for trekking and bird watching, with the variety of birds found there. Later visit Echo point, Shooting point, Kundala Lake, Mountain streams like Kundala, Mudrapuzha & Nallathanni, Tata Tea Museum (Close on Monday) , International Blossom (Hydel) Park, Eravikulam National Park (Rajamalai), Anamudi View Point, Cardamom Plantations, Tea Plantations and several other enchanting places. Overnight stay at the hotel / resort and experience the cool mountain atmosphere.
Day 5: Munnar to Cherai Beach Via Bahubali Waterfalls (160 kms, 6 hrs approx)
After a refreshing breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Cherai beach. Enjoy Munnar sightseeing like Cheeyappara waterfalls, Valara waterfalls, Karadipara View Point and Attukad Waterfalls.
On the way to Cherai, visit Athirappilly Waterfalls, the largest waterfall in Kerala, where the water cascades from a height of 80 feet in several parallel streams. This is the same waterfall featured in the Bollywood blockbuster ‘Bahubali.’
Reach Cherai Beach, one of the popular beaches around Kochi, located only 35 km from Kochi and within Vypin Island. Many tourists flock to this beach to enjoy the view of the rising and setting sun. The beach is easily accessible by road and sea. It boasts an array of excellent restaurants and hotels where you can relish amazing seafood. Small shops offer fresh seafood; you can select your fish, prawns, and crabs here and have them prepared at your choice of restaurant. Many people enjoy splashing around on the beach after their time by the seaside and spend some quality time with their soul mate. Stay overnight at the hotel / resort.
Day 6: Cherai Beach to Kochi (35 kms, 1 hr 30 mins approx)
After a refreshing breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Kochi. Kochi is the most popular, most modern city and business capital of Kerala. Proceed to Marine Drive, a popular hangout for the local populace as well as the tourists. Then proceed to Fort Kochi. On the way to Fort Kochi, you can take a halt at any place of your choice for sightseeing. You can visit Shiva Temple, Willingdon Island, Thirumala Devaswom Temple, Dutch Palace, Jew Town, Jain Temple, Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica, Chinese Fishing Net, Mahatma Gandhi Beach and Indo-Portuguese Museum. Then reach Fort Kochi Beach. Sunset with the Chinese fishing nets and sailing ships in the background, is a memorable experience. Then get dropped at the Airport / Railway Station and board the Flight / Train, back to home with sweet memories.
