Day 1: Trivandrum to Kovalam (20 kms, 50 mins approx)
Arrive at the Airport / Railway Station. Meet our representative and drive to Kovalam. Kovalam was among the most prominent tourist spots in India during the hippy era. It still has a high status among tourists, who arrive mostly from Europe. The leisure options at this beach are plenty and diverse. Sunbathing, swimming, special cultural programs and catamaran cruising are some of them. Enjoy sightseeing like Rock Cut Cave Temple, Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium, Kovalam Light House Beach, Eve’s Beach, Samudra Beach, Hawa Beach, Vellayani Lake where you can go for a boat ride. Then return back to the beach and enjoy the serene beach sunset. Overnight stay at the hotel / resort.
Day 2: Sightseeing within Kovalam
After break fast, you will be driven to Veli Tourist Village. Veli Tourist Village is a picnic spot, where the Veli Lake meets the Arabian Sea, offers boating facilities. On the way to Veli you can visit Thuppanathu Kavu Devi & Murugan Temple, Chudukad Devi Temple, Pachalloor Thookka Mudipura (Bhadrakali Temple), Hanuman Kovil, Hanuman Temple Street, Shanghumugham Beach, Veli. Then reach Veli Tourist Village, here Pedalboats and paddleboats can be hired to explore the charms of the lagoon in a leisurely manner. Overnight stay at the hotel / resort.
Day 3: Kovalam to Kanyakumari (80 kms, 2 hrs 10 mins approx)
After breakfast check out from Hotel and drive to Kanyakumari enroute visit Nagercoil, Sucheendram temple Nagercoil, Maruthuvazh Malai Kaadu (Mountain which Lord Hanuman brought here for Sanjivani Herb), St Mary Church, Arulmighu Sri Ramar Temple. Visit Gandhi Mandapam, Kanyakumari Temple, Vivekananda rock memorial (There is a ferry that operates at short intervals. In addition, admission must be paid to the rock temple. The two islands are open to visitors during the period from 08.00-17.00 clock.) and the Statue of Thiruvalloor. Enjoy Sunset from the tip of India. One can also see the moon-rise and sunset at the same time. Overnight at hotel / resort.
Day 4: Kanyakumari to Alleppey (240 kms, 6 hrs approx)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey, a mesmerizing coastal town known as the ‘Venice of the East. Alleppey, often called “Alappuzha,” is a picturesque coastal city in Kerala, renowned for its serene backwaters and lush landscapes. Explore the following sightseeing places Krishna Temple, Alleppey Beach, Alleppey Market, Mullakkal Temple, Kuttanad Backwaters, Nehru Trophy Boat Race Venue. Optionally, you can choose to embark on an enchanting backwater cruise, a quintessential Alleppey experience. Glide through the tranquil backwaters on a traditional houseboat, admiring the lush landscapes and local life. (Note: This is an optional activity and not included in the itinerary.) After a day filled with exploration, return to your hotel in Alleppey. Overnight stay at the hotel / resort.
Day 5: Alleppey to Thekkady (140 kms, 4 hrs approx)
After a refreshing breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady. Drive through panoramic western ghat hills covered with spice plantations and occasional view of waterfalls and streams. Visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Periyar Lake, Murikkady, that provides a panoramic view of cardamom, coffee and pepper plantations. Visit Thekkady’s spice market, where you can select and bring home a piece of Kerala’s essence by acquiring some of the finest spices as cherished mementos. Later visit Kadathanadan Kalari Centre. You can watch Kathakali show and the captivating Kalaripayattu show, an ancient Indian martial art form, adding an extra layer of cultural richness to your memorable journey (evening show at your own expense). Explore the rest of the day along with nature on your own. Overnight stay at the hotel / resort.
Day 6: Thekkady to Munnar (88 km, 2 hrs 50 mins approx)
After a refreshing breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Munnar, the place where the unfolded green carpet is waiting for you. Munnar is breathtakingly beautiful, a haven of peace and tranquillity – the idyllic tourist destination in God’s own country, situated on the Western Ghats at the height of 1600 meters (5200 feet) above sea level. It is famous for tea plantations. On the way enjoy sights of tea plantations and spice plantation. Overnight stay at the hotel / resort.
Day 7: Sightseeing within Munnar
After breakfast proceed for a sightseeing trip of Munnar. Flower show, Photo point, Honey Bee Tree, Mattupetty Dam, which offers many fascinating sights to relish. At Mattupetty Boating and Speed Boating facility are available( at your expense ). The Shola forests around Mattupetty are ideal for trekking and bird watching, with the variety of birds found there. Later visit Echo point, Shooting point, Kundala Lake, Mountain streams like Kundala, Mudrapuzha & Nallathanni, Tata Tea Museum (Close on Monday) , International Blossom (Hydel) Park, Eravikulam National Park (Rajamalai), Anamudi View Point, Cardamom Plantations, Tea Plantations and several other enchanting places. Overnight stay at the hotel / resort and experience the cool mountain atmosphere.
Day 8: Munnar to Kochi (135 km, 4 hrs approx)
After a refreshing breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Kochi. On the way to Munnar enjoy sightseeing like Cheeyappara waterfalls, Valara waterfalls, Karadipara View Point and Attukad Waterfalls. Kochi is the most popular, most modern city and business capital of Kerala. Proceed to Marine Drive, a popular hangout for the local populace as well as the tourists. Then proceed to Fort Kochi. On the way to Fort Kochi, you can take a halt at any place of your choice for sightseeing. You can visit Dutch Palace, Jew Town, Jain Temple, Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica, Chinese Fishing Net. Then reach Fort Kochi Beach. Sunset with the Chinese fishing nets and sailing ships in the background, is a memorable experience. Then get dropped at the Airport / Railway Station and board the Flight / Train, back to home with sweet memories.
